NumLock does not toggle on by default, even if you have it set
in your PC's BIOS.
To enable NumLock, follow the next steps:
- To open the Registry Editor click on the Start button on
your taskbar, then click on Run and type "regedit" and click
on OK to start the utility (see picture 1).

- Expand HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control
Panel\Keyboard (see picture 2).

- Double click the value to change
InitialKeyboardIndicators from "0" to "2"
